Goals for Grade 7-12

To encourage our students to use library resources.

Develop a good reading habit.

To raise students’ borrowing rate

Procedures

Take “i_Read” point card from the Library.

Incentives:

  • - Point card I – Students with points 10 – 30 can get a gift.
  • - Point card II – Students with points 5, 10, 15, 15 and 20 and a 300-words book reflection can get a reader award.

How to get points:

  • A. Students may get books through borrowing books
    • - Borrowing 3 books at one time can get one point.
    • - Borrowing 6 books at one time can get two points.
    • (The books can be a combination of English and Chinese version.)

  • B. Reflection must be more than 350 words.(*Please come to the library to take the reflection form.)
    • - Book Reflection: will get one (1) point
    • - Movie reflection equivalent to one (1) point.
    • - Exhibition reflection equivalent to one (1) point.

  • C. If the reflection is more than one thousand (1000) words, whether written in Chinese or in English both can get (2) points.
  •  
  • D. Attending Library activities will also give students points. Points may vary depending on the activity.

*The librarian will choose one of the rules above for the reward indicator.

Rewards

  • - 10 points: A chance to draw a toy.
  • - 20 points: Get a gift.
  • - 30 points: Get a 300 NTD book coupon.

other notices

  • - The points can be accumulated until the school ends or to at the end of an activity.
  • - Be responsible of your own your point card.
  • - Be responsible of your own your point card.
  • - Point cards are for personal use only, and it cannot be share with other people.

The rules are subject for changes when the library deemed to do so, however if certain rules were already passed to the Library advisory committee and submitted to the superintendent, the same procedures would still be followed, but necessary corrections will be applied.
